About Maynard & Hogan
The Law Offices of Maynard and Hogan, originally founded in 1979 by Douglas Scott Maynard, has a broad practice covering most legal problems encountered by small to medium sized businesses as well as the problems that most individuals typically encounter. Included among the areas we practice are, business, corporate law, real estate and construction law, family law (divorce, custody, child and spousal support, restraining orders), wrongful discharge of employment, professional licensing issues, tax law, bankruptcy, business transactions, litigation and international law and trust and estate planning.
Firm Organization and Management
The firm continues to be managed by Mr. Maynard and Ms. Hogan, both of whom have extensive experience in the areas of the firm's practice. While the firm has a number of attorneys, it is organized so that virtually all significant matters handled by the firm are personally reviewed by Mr. Maynard and/or Ms. Hogan. This is true even where other very experienced attorneys have been assigned primary responsibility for the project. This policy assures, as a matter of course, a second qualified opinion on virtually all matters. It also improves the overall quality of the firm's work by providing the input of a second experienced attorney.
Philosophy
We are committed to a strong yet realistic representation of our clients' interests using our knowledge, judgment, negotiating and counseling abilities and interpersonal skills. We typically work harder than our adversaries in order to achieve a fair and just result. We believe that these traits and the hard work associated with them are necessary to make our practice responsive to the needs of our clients and individually rewarding. We take a creative, practical and logical approach to counseling and problem-solving. Responsiveness to client needs and producing high-quality work are the cornerstones of our practice.
We believe that the firm size, while offering broad expertise, allows us to provide our clients with individual attention, and thus ensures a better working relationship and greater quality control in every matter.

We will not break the law or violate any ethical rule for any client.
